Mothers to be quizzed on post-birth care
About 4,000 new mothers in Queensland will be surveyed about the care they received after the birth of their babies.
Queensland Health wants to find out if they were satisfied with their treatment and the support they received after leaving hospital.
The committee set up to implement the changes recommended in the 2005 Maternity Services Review has commissioned the survey.
Chairwoman Dr Cheryl Hirst says many women and health professionals are concerned there is a lack of post-birth support.
