MP urges cloud seeding to tackle drought
A Nationals' MP wants the Victorian Government to embrace cloud seeding as a drought-saving measure.
The Member for Rodney, Noel Maughan, wants the Government to have aircraft on stand-by for cloud seeding whenever clouds build up.
Mr Maughan says opportunities to improve water supplies cannot be missed.
He says the cloud seeding technology is proven.
"In Tasmania the hydro electric authority uses it as routine and in Texas and other parts of the United States it's used regularly, the technique works," he said.
